I never thought of dressing up as Alladin for Halloween, but it is a brilliant choice.
When I was a kid, I always chose Halloween costumes that HAD to be barefoot. The intent was to enjoy the tactile surprises of being out barefoot in the dark: wet chilly lawns, soft dirt fields, gravel driveways, the occasional mud, etc. Among others, I went trick or treating as a pirate, a mummy, a cave man, a zombie, Tom Sawyer. Great fun.
